Emissary of the Central Tibetan Administration is in Australia to Give Briefings on the Current Situation in Tibet
Mr. Chope Paljor Tsering was for several years the Representative of the His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Canberra before he was reassigned to Tokyo and subsequently appointed as the Minister for Health in the Central Tibetan Administration (widely known as the Tibetan Government in Exile) in Dharamsala.
He is in Australia to brief political leaders, community leaders, NGOs and the media on the situation on the ground inside Tibet.
Mr. Chope is in Australia from now until the 23rd April, visiting Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne on the following dates:

Canberra: Tuesday 15th – Thursday 17th April
Sydney: Friday 18th – Saturday 19th April
Melbourne: Sunday 20th – Monday 21st April
He will also be addressing the National Press Club in Canberra at lunchtime on Tuesday 22nd April.
