BODH GAYA: Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay today inaugurated a rare photo exhibition on Tibet and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, which is being showcased by DIIR’s Tibet Museum in Bodh Gaya, Bihar from 2 – 14 January 2017.
The inauguration was attended by Mr Kargyu Dhondup, Chief Justice Commissioner of the Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission, Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, Kalon Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok of Department of Religion and Culture, CTA.
The first day of exhibition saw a foothold of more than thousand people who expressed their support and admiration for the Tibetan people and its non-violent struggle for freedom.
The 13-day exhibition features panel on three different themes namely ‘Biography of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’, ‘Long Look Homeward – An Exhibition on the Contemporary History of Tibet, and ‘The Burning Question: Why are Tibetans Turning to Self-immolation?’
Visitors can avail free of cost books on the peaceful Tibetan freedom struggle led by the Central Tibetan Administration.
The Tibet Museum has been organising its exhibitions on Tibet and His Holiness the Dalai Lama all over India and the world. It has organised successful photo exhibitions at all the Kalachakra venues since 2000.
This exhibition at the 34th Kalachakra in Bodh Gaya will conclude on 14 January 2017.
