Dharamshala: The Kashag of Central Tibetan Administration today expressed its deep condolences at the passing away of Kyabje Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin Rinpoche, the 103rd Gaden Tripa. Rinpoche passed away at 11.45 pm on 21 April at Max Hospital in New Delhi after a prolonged illness. He was 80.
“On behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration, the Kashag would like to offer its profound condolences to all the members of the three principal monastic seats of Sera, Drepung and Gaden. We pray for Rinpoche’s swift rebirth so that he can continue his noble teachings and dharma activities for the benefit of all sentient beings,” Kashag said, in the condolence letter.
On 24 April, officials and staff of Central Tibetan Administration held a prayer service to mourn the demise of Kyabje Gaden Tri Rinpoche. All offices of the Central Tibetan Administration were shut after lunch as a mark of respect and mourning.
