CTA President Dr Lobsang Sangay Leaves for Guwahati, Assam

Dharamshala: CTA President Dr. Lobsang Sangay  embarked on his visit to Guwahati via Delhi this afternoon.

Dr. Sangay will spend two days in Guwahati, stopping in the nation’s capital where he would be meeting with officials. He will then travel to Guwahati where he is scheduled to address the students and faculty at Guwahati University on 3rd November.

At the invitation of the University, Dr. Sangay will address the students on ”India and Tibet- Strengthening its Future.’

Dr. Sangay is scheduled to give the 2017 Rabindranath Barthakur Memorial Lecture on’ Ethics of Migration and its Impact on Communities and Ecosystem’ at the Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics Forum organised by the Balipara Foundation later that day.

The forum aims at collaborating conversations and action towards conservation of the Eastern Himalayas. The two day forum will conclude on November 4.
