The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most famous celebrations in Chinese culture; its popularity is on par with that of the Chinese New Year. The day is also known as the Moon Festival, as the moon on the festival night is believed to be the fullest and brightest of the whole year, symbolizing prosperity, harmony and togetherness.
