Dharamshala: Dr Lobsang Sangay, President of the Central Tibetan Administration today condoled prime minister Theresa May and the people of United Kingdom over the barbaric terrorist attack that took place in Manchester on 22 May.
“It is with an enormous sense of sadness that I convey my deepest condolences to the good people of the United Kingdom and Prime Minister Theresa May,” Dr Lobsang Sangay said.
“It is sickening to realise that the prime target of this dastardly act has been innocent children who were just having fun. Therefore, I express my utter disbelief and shock, and offer my deepest sympathies and prayers to those who have lost loves ones or were affected by the tragedy,” he added.
“The Central Tibetan Administration and the entire Tibetan people stands with Britain in this time of grief. I am confident that the perpetrators of this dreadful act would be brought to justice and bring solace and closure to the victims,” he said.
At least 22 people were killed and many more injured after a lone male suicide attacker set off a homemade bomb in the foyer at 22:33 BST on Monday at the end of a concert by US singer Ariana Grande.
