Dawa Sangmo Takes Charge as Chinese Liaison Officer at OoT, Canberra.

Canberra: The new Chinese liaison officer appointee at the Office of Tibet in Canberra, Dawa Sangmo, attended her first day at the office of Tibet, Canberra today on Wednesday, 1 March 2023.

Prior to this appointment, she served in the Chinese media section of the Department of Information and International Relations, CTA on a contractual basis as its bureau reporter and news anchor for the weekly news bulletin in the Chinese language from August 2020 to August 2021. She also worked as a Chinese bureau reporter at the Voice of Tibet Radio Service from August 2021 to August 2022.

From February 2018 to march 2020, she worked as a lecturer in the Chinese Language Section at the Academy of Tibetan Culture, Norbulingka Institute, Dharamsala.

The new post-holder Dawa Sangmo completed her schooling from Upper TCV School, Dharamsala and graduated from Mysore University in Chinese language and literature.
