Mungod: His Holiness the Dalai Lama bestowed teachings on Tsongkapa’s “Three Principal Aspects of the Path” at Gaden Lachi, Mundgod.

Hundreds of monks and laypeople gathered at Gaden Lachi for the teaching. The Tibetan spiritual leader mentioned that there is a slight change in schedule due to minor health problems for previous few days.

During the introductory teachings, His Holiness made a special mention that even though Tibetans face many difficulties; we have kept alive the odourless rich Nalanda tradition intact.

His Holiness spoke briefly about the inception of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition and the great scholarship of Nalanda masters.

He remarked, “There are many Buddhists but only in Tibetan have kept logic; ‘science of evidence’ flourishing.”

His Holiness further mentioned about Je Tsongkhapa’s great contribution towards flourishing Tibetan Buddhism.

“Through studying rigorously and dialectical debate we have produced several numbers of Geshe’s and recently a Geshema also,” His Holiness added.

His Holiness then begins with “Three Principal Aspects of the Path” to the monks and people of Doeguling Tibetan settlement.

In the end of the teaching, His Holiness assured that he is well and fine now after having a cold for few days.

His Holiness will be leaving Mundgod tomorrow and arrive in Bylakuppe on 19 December.
