Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama left Dharamshala today for a brief Delhi visit where he will preside over the global launch of SEE Learning™ (Social, Emotional, and Ethical Learning) in New Delhi.
With support from Emory’s cosponsors, the Dalai Lama Foundation and the Vana Foundation of India, the launch event will be live-streamed internationally and will feature globally recognized experts in social and emotional learning Linda Lantieri and Kimberly Schonert-Reichl in addition to children’s rights activist and Nobel Peace Laureate, Kailash Satyarthi.
Social, Emotional and Ethical Learning (SEE Learning) is a new K-12 education program developed at Emory University to provide high quality, easy-to-use curricula and resources for educators and students for their holistic development based on the latest knowledge in educational practice and scientific research.
The SEE Program has been developed with the vision and support of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who has long called for an education of heart and mind and a universal, non-sectarian approach to bringing the ethical development of the whole child into education along with the help of a team of experts in developmental psychology, education and neuroscience.
