Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to Dharamshala today to a warm welcome by Tibetans and non-Tibetan devotees, following his brief visit to Delhi and Bengaluru from 21 – 26 May 2017.
On 23 May, His Holiness spoke at the Social Justice and BR Ambedkar’s seminar, organised by the Social Justice Department of the Karnataka state government to commemorate Ambedkar’s 125th birth anniversary.
The seminar was also attended by Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri Siddharamaiah and leader of Congress party in Lok Sabha, Shri Mallikarjuna Kharge along with representatives of the Karnataka government and thousands of admirers of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The Karnataka chief minister expressed profound gratitude to His Holiness and paid him respect as a man of peace.
On Wednesday, His Holiness was the chief guest at the Indian Express Adda in New Delhi on 24 May. Express Adda is a series of informal interactions organised by The Indian Express Group and features those at the centre of change.
On 25 May, the Tibetan spiritual leader launched veteran journalist and former BJP leader, Arun Shourie’s Two Saints, Speculations around and about Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Ramana Maharshi at the Deshmukh auditorium, India International Centre, New Delhi.
