Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama began his teaching on Geshe Chekewa’s Seven point-mind training (Lojong dhondunma) this morning at the Tsuglagkhang, the main temple at Mcleod Ganj, Dharamsala. His Holiness first greeted the devotees, most of whom were from Taiwan, Singapore, Romania and the few Chinese from the Mainland China. His Holiness said belief in religion results in more peace of mind and happiness.
His Holiness said that only the material gain does not fulfills our endeavour for happiness or bring an end to our sufferings. For the happiness and peace of mind, we have to bring positive changes in our heart.
The teaching is attended by thousands of devotees, including nearly a thousand Taiwanese, Singaporean, Romanian, few Chinese from the mainland China.
His Holiness will continue the teaching on The Diamond Sutra (dorjee chotpa), Geshe Chekewa’s Seven Point-Mind Training (lojong dhondunma) & Tsongkhapa’s The Three Principal Paths (lamtso namsum) till 18 October. His Holiness will confer the Avalokiteshvera Initiation ( Chenresig wang) on 18 October. The teaching is being given at the request of Taiwanese devotees.
His Holiness will also give teachings on Four noble truths (Dhenpa shi) from 20 to 22 October at the request of the Southeast Asian Buddhist.
