Tibetan Solidarity Alliance Awareness Campaign in Ludhiana

Indian Lala Sushil Kumar and Harijit Sign with other lalas in Ludhiana who are Tibetan Solidarity Alliance members and supporters of Tibet.

Ludhiana: Tibetan Solidarity Alliance Program Officer Ms Tenzin Nyima conducted an official tour to Ludhiana from 13th August till 23rd August 2017 to create awareness about Tibetan Solidarity Alliance (Blue Book) and to gain maximum support from non-Tibetans or friends of Tibet, especially Indian Lalas for the Tibetan cause and community. The tour has been successful in Tibetan Solidarity Alliance membership enrolment of a considerable number of lalas.

Indo-Tibetan Hosiery Association President and Ludhiana Hosiery President Mr. Navin Sood who has been doing hosiery business for so many decade said, “His Holiness the Dalai Lama gives a clear message of peace and non-violence to the whole world. Central Tibetan Administration has a program called Tibetan Solidarity Alliance via which non-Tibetans can support Tibetan cause and community. And I have become a Tibetan Solidarity Alliance member as I genuinely support Tibetan cause and I also request other non-Tibetans, especially my Indian friends to apply for the program. I deeply wish that His Holiness’ dream comes true.”

Mr. Harijit Singh from Ludhiana who has a hosiery business for more than 20 years said, “everyone was born free and no one has right to control other country illegally. His Holiness the Dalai Lama is a God in human disguise. Tibetans have been trying to resolve Tibetan issue on the basis of truth & justice and that’s why I have become a Tibetan Solidarity Alliance member to support Tibetan cause.’

Mr. Amit Sharma, who owns Jagannattopiwala hosiery for more than 40 years said, “We have been doing business with Tibetan people since so many decades and have a special relationship. We have been told by our forefathers that its always wonderful working with Tibetans as they are indeed very honest and genuine people which is why I support Tibetan cause and community and have become a Tibetan Solidarity Alliance member. I also believe this will eventually help make our relationship stronger in the years to come.”

Tibetan Solidarity Alliance, with the support of members of Tibetan Traders Refugee Association, able to meet number of lalas and explain the program to them for over almost two weeks. Tibetan Solidarity Alliance Program Officer also has an opportunity to explain about the program during 4th General Body meeting of all India Tibetan Refugee Traders Association in Ludhiana on Indian Independence Day. The meeting was also attended by a large number of Indian Lalas.
