CTA President Embarks on a Five-Day visit to United States

Dharamshala: The President of Central Tibetan Administration Dr Lobsang Sangay left Dharamshala this afternoon for engagements in Delhi upon the completion of which he will embark on a five-day visit to Washington D.C and New York.

On December 8 President Dr Sangay will grace a meeting with Chinese democracy activists and intellectuals in New York. On December 9 President will address the youth in New York. On December 10, World Human Rights Day and the 28th anniversary of the conferment of Noble Peace Prize on His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Dr Sangay will address the North America Solidarity with Tibet Rally.

Organised by the North America Tibetan Associations, the Tibet rally for Peace and Non-Violence will also have guest speakers such as Richard Gere, Professor Rajmohan Gandhi, the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi and Ven Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, the speaker of Tibetan Parliament in Exile.

Dr Sangay will leave New York for Delhi on December 11, deliver the Professor M. L. Sondhi Memorial Lecture on December 14 and be back in Dharamsala on December 15.
