CTA President Graces Convergence-18 at Hansraj College

CTA President Dr Lobsang Sangay being felicitated by the Hansraj Alumni Association.

New Delhi: The President of Central Tibetan Administration attended Convergence 2018, the annual alumni get-together organised by Hansraj Alumni Association at the college in Delhi yesterday.

Enumerating the crucial role that India has and still continue to play in hosting and supporting Tibetan people and the Tibetan cause, Dr Sangay thanked India for being a great host to the Tibetan people. He also acknowledged and thanked his alma mater and its faculties and the member of the alumni association.

At the gathering, Dr Sangay was honoured as the chief guest and was invited as an alumnus of the college as well as in his capacity as the President of Central Tibetan Administration.

Last year Hansraj College honoured Dr Sangay with the ‘Mahatma Hansraj Gaurav Samman’ award for his achievements and contribution.

The event saw the attendance of senior officials from the Indian government and well-known personalities from academia and business.
