NEW DELHI: Education Kalon Mr Ngodup Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration met Shri. Anil Swarup, Honorable Secretary for School Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India on 26 December in the latter’s office.
During the meeting, Kalon Ngodup Tsering raised the issues concerning the transfer of 14 remaining schools of CTSA to STSS prior to the next academic year. The Secretary was also apprised of the academic performance of the Tibetan students in both CTSA and non-CTSA schools.
Since the Secretary is very new to the present post, he was very kind enough to attentively listen to the issues raised by Kalon Ngodup Tsering. The Secretary assured that he will look into the matter and will take necessary action.
Kalon Ngodup Tsering also presented a memento to the secretary on behalf of Alumni association of CST Mundgod, as part of the school’s Golden Jubilee Celebration.
He further thanked the Government of India for its generous help towards Education of Tibetan students in India.
Kalon Ngodup Tsering was accompanied by Mr Kelsang Gonpo, Deputy Secretary, DoE and Mr Tenzin Duejom, Education Officer, Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, New Delhi.
