New York: His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Monday gave an interview to Time magazine for its 10 Questions series, where it invites readers to “ask questions of newsmakers and celebrities.”

His Holiness responded to questions relating to his feeling about changes to the role of the Dalai Lama, how to teach children not to be angry, whether reconciliation with the Chinese government is possible (on Tibet), whether he misses Tibet, whether he had ever thought of being just a normal person, and whether he had ever wore trousers, etc. Time had selected these out of the many questions submitted on its website by readers throughout the world. The magazine will publish the interview on Friday, 28 May 2010.

Thereafter, His Holiness met with several groups of people, including audience to committee members of the Chushi Gangdruk, some Chinese scholars as well as some members of the diplomatic community.

In the afternoon, His Holiness concluded his five-state trip to the United States and departed New York City for Europe on his way to India. During this trip, His Holiness visited Indiana, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa and New York.
