His Holiness the Dalai Lama returns to Dharamsala

Dharamshala:  His Holiness the Dalai Lama returned to  Dharamsala today from a highly successful European tour  spanning five countries including France, Switzerland, Estonia, Finland and Germany.  

Kalon Tripa Dr Lobsang Sangay, Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament Khenpo Sonam Tenphel and other dignitaries of the Central Tibetan Administration received His Holiness at Gaggal airport. The local Tibetan community at Dharamsala also gave a rousing welcome to His Holiness on his return.

His Holiness left Dharamsala on the 11th of August for a 5-country European tour. During the tour, he met with the Estonian president Toomas Hendrick Iives in Tallin. He also gave a key-note talk on the importance of “Ethics in Business” in the Finnish capital of Helsinki.  He visited Goeth university in Frankfurt, Germany on the request of Hesse state government on the 22nd of August and participated in a discussion about “Morality in leadership”. The tour also encompasses His Holiness’s meetings with various Tibet support groups, Chinese nationals and members of Parliament.
