Canberra: Representative Karma Singey held an online meeting with Tibetan Community Leaders in New Zealand on Wednesday, 15 February to brief them about the office of Tibet’s key activities and spoke on the importance of Tibetan unity, preserving culture and identity, and proactively teaching Tibetan language and culture to young Tibetans.
The president of the Auckland Tibetan Community Rishul Nyendak, other executive members and Losang Dawa from Dunedin attended the meeting.
The participants were informed of some of the important priorities of the office concerning Tibetan communities in New Zealand and were urged for their cooperation and support in achieving the priorities.
The Representative thanked everyone for their dedication and commitment to the common Tibetan cause and assured support of his office in their work for the larger cause of Tibet.
He extended his greetings to all the Tibetan Community members in New Zealand on the upcoming Tibetan New Year “Losar” and expressed his hope of visiting them in near future.
