Representative Karma Singey Calls on New Co-Chair of AAPPGT, Senator Dean Smith

Canberra: Representative Karma Singey paid a courtesy call on Senator Dean Smith, the new Co-Chair of the Australian All-Party Parliamentary Group Tibet (AAPPGT) representing the Liberal party, to felicitate him on his new role on 30 March 2023. Senator Dean Smith has assumed the role of Co-Chair following MP Warren Entsch’s resignation after years of commitment to the Parliamentarian’s group for Tibet.

Representative Karma Singey was accompanied by Dr Zoe Bedford, Executive Officer of Australia Tibet Council and Tibet Information office’s new Chinese Liaison Officer, Dawa Sangmo.

The Parliamentary group is currently Co-chaired by three members from all major political parties, namely, MP Susan Templeman from the Labour party, Senator Dean Smith from Liberal Party, and Senator Janet Rice from the Australian Greens.
