Representative Karma Singey of Office of Tibet in Canberra Attends 63rd Anniversary of Tibetan Democracy Day at Perth

Representative Karma Singey receives warm welcome from community president Tenpa Dhargyal and other executive members at the Perth airport.

Perth : Representative Karma Singey of Office of Tibet, Canberra makes maiden visit to Western Australia Tibetan community to attend the Tibetan community’s celebration of 63rd anniversary of the Tibetan democracy day at Perth on 2 September. On his arrival at the Perth airport, he was received by the community president Tenpa Dhargyal and other executive members. Representative Karma while addressing on the  occasion, highlighted how His Holiness the Dalai Lama single-handedly built the Tibetan democracy in exile and how it is of utmost significance for all Tibetans to follow and act on the path shown by His Holiness. He also brought to light some of the important milestones in the history of Tibetan Democracy in exile. He also briefed them about the role and responsibilities of the Office of Tibet and some of the major initiatives taken by the office in the last two years. Representative Karma also welcomed the incoming executive members of the Western Australia Tibetan community and expressed gratitude to outgoing executive members by presenting them certificates of appreciation in recognition of their voluntary service for the Tibetan community. Finally, he emphasised the importance of maintaining unity among the community and extended support and cooperation of the Office of Tibet, Canberra to the new executive members in the future.
