Tokyo: Tibetan political leader Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay, who is currently on an official trip to Japan, paid a visit to the new Office of Tibet (OoT) building located in the Shinjuku-ku locality in Tokyo on 10 January.

The new Office of Tibet building was bought and renovated at the cost of 1 Million USD. 50% of the construction cost was sponsored by the Office of Ganden Phodrang and the remaining was raised by the Central Tibetan Administration in collaboration with the office of Tibet from Japanese Tibet supporters and sympathisers.

This is the second Office of Tibet bought since Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay took over  in  2011 following the new Office of Tibet based in Washington DC, USA.
