Central Tibetan Administration hosted Cultural Festival of Tibet as part of Thank You India 2018 campaign at India International Centre in Delhi, from 2 April to 4 April 2018.

At this three-day festival, India International Centre was filled with Tibetan-ness ambience through the thematic showcase of Tibetan culture that managed to bring together all side of Tibetan art, literature, religion, medicine and lifestyle in one place.

The first day of the Cultural Festival Tibet was presided by CTA President Dr Lobsang Sangay at the gracious presence of chief guest Smt Sheila Dixit at the event. At afternoon fall, there was a panel discussion on India and Tibet: Ancient Ties, Current Bonds led by CTA President Dr Lobsang Sangay, Kalon Trisur Samdhong Rinpoche, Dr Kapila Vatsyan, Mrs Sondhi and Smt Sheila Dixit, former Chief Minister of Delhi State.

The Second day witnessed a short documentary film screening, films produced by Tibet TV of Central Tibetan Administration. Screening includes: Short documentary film on Central Tibetan Administration by Kalsang Rinchen; A Place in the Sun: stories from exile Tibet by Sontse, Bhuchung D Sonam, Tenzin Kalden, Tashi Topgyal; Chela’s Gift to its Guru, Tibet TV Production- a film by Tenzin Wangchuk and Tenzin Choedup, and India’s Road Builders, a Tibet TV Production- a film by Palden Choedon.

Department of Religion and Cultural Minister Karma Gelek Yuthok presided the final day of a three-day Cultural Festival of Tibet. And felicitated the participants by presenting Dharma Chakra as a token of appreciation.

A total of five documentaries were screened at the Tibet Film Festival on the Day 2 of Cultural Festival of Tibet, IIC, Delhi, 3 April 2018.

The opening day of Cultural Festival of Tibet have reached Thirteenth thousand five hundred and forty-three Facebookers, five hundred and thirty-three likes, and two hundred and seven have shared the post.
